This adorable QR Code will drop dollars directly into our exclusive Toys for Tots Marine Foundation bamk account usable for our location only.  One of my favorite Foundation facts is that of the money donated to Toys for Tots 97% is spent on toys and only 3% is spent on administration costs. 

The 2023 Holiday Season is upon us with a vengence, hooray!  We have so many fun events and toy raising parties to attend and a few haven't even been finalized yet.
 

 The Season is upon us and The US Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation together with Meera Beser,  as the lead coordinator for the Tahoe-Truckee Region and her little band of amazing minions needs your help in the collection of new toys.   Monetary donations are also welcome for the purchase of new toys for our local deserving children in need.  We are distributing  the Toys for Tots collection boxes at authorized toy collection stations, along with the US Marine Toys for Tots Banners in and around the Tahoe and Truckee communities, please stop in and drop off your new unwrapped toy at any of these authorized local drop-off stations.  


Please go to the Drop-Off Stations Tab to obtain addresses and hours of operation at a drop-off site near you. Toy collection begins:  November 1 2023  and runs through December 16,2023. New donation locations are  being added daily so  look for one near you. Please shop locally and visit the merchants who support us. We have several new ones.

Our territory has expanded to all the way around the Lake and Truckee.  We handle Incline VIllage, South Lake Tahoe (California and Nevada) West and North Lake Tahoe as well as Truckee.   All the toys and money received will stay in our area.  We collaborate with non-profit agencies  to help collect applications, collect, sort and pack toys and manage the distributions. Our distribution dates vary by area Truckee 12/16; South Lake Tahoe 12/16; North Lake Tahoe and Incline  12/16.  So stay tuned for updated parties, donation locations.

Volunteers needed in all areas.

Each year dozens of companies and organizations volunteer their establishments as a locations to become drop-off stations for toy donations.  Local businesses and organizations offer various in-kind services that help with the logistics of collecting and transporting toys to ensure our local children who are in need are not forgotten.  Our local bakeries, and restaurants together with local musicians provide wonderful music, including the NTHS Jazz Ensemble, great food and libations.   We could not do it without their generous support.   Please see our sponsors' list and remember to patronize these fine establishments!

TOY COLLECTION KICK OFF PARTIES: As always we have a great line up of Kick-off parties. Please remember to bring a NEW, unwrapped toy for any age child between 0-17 (be generous $15-$20 is a good value). The toys all go to the kids and the donation will get you into the party to enjoy music, fun and a variety of special offerings from the restaurants. Feel free to attend more than one party but remember a new toy for each is only fair.

• Saturday December 3rd at 4-6pm Candy Cane Lane at U.N.R IN INCLINE VILLAGE CAMPUS Christmas Tree Lighting, hot cocoa and many more family activities. Please bring an unwrapped toy or make a donation.
• Tuesday December 12 th, 3pm, to 8p.m.  Once again River Ranch located at the corner of Hwy 89 and Alpine Meadows Road.  Happy hour Discounts on food and holiday libations. Santa, Smores, hot cocoa, and more. Please bring a new unwrapped toy for a free drink token or make your donation check out to T4T Tahoe-Truckee. Music by North Tahoe Jazz ensemble from 6 to 8. Santa's Maker's shop available to purchase gifts and toys.

• Harrah's and Harvey's  on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe have steped up to become a strong supporter of the South Lake Tahoe Toys for Tots programs. Go visit the giant gingerbread sculpture or to Casino Night and donate toys all month. They have a number of promotions in place.
• Susie's Toys in the Village will give you 20% off of toys if you tell them it's for Toys for Tots. As will Village Toys in Incline Village. 
• Tahoe Family Solutions Thrift Store in Incline Village has new toys for sale and will offer a generous discount if you mention Toys for Tots You can even leave the toys in their donation box.

  Without the help of our generous community  the US Marine Corps Reserve's Toys for Tots program would not be able to provide the increasing numbers of toys each year in this current economy for our families in need.  Each year our local neighbors of  Lake Tahoe and  Truckee communities rise to the occasion generously and give from their hearts to those less fortunate and to help ensure these events are successful,  fun, and memorable!  

The entire U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Team would like to extend our gratitude to the many wonderful Partners, Sponsors and Volunteers who continue to commit to the success of our annual campaigns.  Thank you for continuing to support the children of our fabulous community.!

In addition to all this fun we will have more doings on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe.  Toys for Tots of El Dorado County out of Placerville have been supporting South Lake Tahoe Children for over 10 years. We have decided it's time for South Lake Tahoe to launch and have their very own Toys for Tots Region.  If you want to donate or host a toy raising party call  Kristie Bell  408-489-8974  There are many fun and creative ways that you can help. 
 

In fact here are some Bright Ideas and ways that you can support Toys for Tots. If you choose one of these ideas or create another let us know and we will post the information in our website and social media to let the community know how you are supporting Toys for Tots this year.

Offer Something Free (a cup of coffee, tea, wine, hot cholcolate, dessert) in exchange for a NEW unwapped toy worth $10 or more.

Offer a % off the bill for New toys

Create a signature drink or entree or dessert dish free in exchange for a toy

Create an event, partner with Toys for Tots and serve buffet, music raffle and Santa. Admission is $15 or $20 or a NEW Toy from each attendee.

Offer free parking or validation in exchange for a toy

Hold a car rally or a golf tournament

Have a "Stuff a Truck" event

Be creative and come up with your own idea, just let us know

Have a company Christmas Party, instead of white elephants encourage staff to

bring Toys for Tots.
